This is a short relocation around a normally wet and muddy area. The relo had been flagged and recently approved. There were 7 of us out today, Jakob, Tom, Bob and Rich from the Long Path South Crew and Chris, Erik and Marty from the Long Distance Trails Crew. Our work site for today was 0.1 mile and 235 ft. down from the parking lot. The relo will go over a stream and through a thick section of Mountain Laural. Cutting a path through the vegetation was’t easy but working in unison we quickly cut and cleared the new trail. After the trail was rough cut through, the LPTC worked on side-hilling and treadway improvements while the LDTC directed their efforts in making a better stream crossing. Then the team went uphill and built a waterbar to dirvet water from heavy rains away from the trail and into the stream. With the two crews working together we were able to accomplish a lot and by the end of the day, the relocation was complete, blazed and open to the public,
Great job everyone, Thank You!
